This classic reached number 1 in the charts in several countries upon its release, but After Campbell's death in August 2017, "Rhinestone Cowboy" charted on the Country Digital Song chart at No. 12. As of August 2017, the song had been downloaded more than 368,000 times in the digital era in the United States.

A beautiful, modern Country song with an even more beautiful video.
16. Lady A- Need You Now
15. Chris Stapleton- Tennessee Whiskey
The song has been covered by several artists, including Chris Stapleton whose breakout performance of the song at the Country Music Association Awards with Justin Timberlake propelled the song to a greater level of popularity.
14. Billy Ray Cyrus- Achy Breaky Heart
This track received a negative reception from critics, but became a cult classic in many countries.
13. Dolly Parton- Jolene
According to Parton, the song was inspired by a red-headed bank clerk who flirted with her husband, Carl Dean, at his local bank branch around the time they were newly married. In an interview, she also revealed that Jolene's name and appearance are based on that of a young fan who came on stage for her autograph.

11. Faith Hill- Breathe
"Breathe" became Hill's seventh number one on the Hot Country Songs chart in the United States, spending six weeks at number one. It also peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in April 2000. Despite not peaking at number one, it was the number-one single of 2000.

7. Patsy Cline- Crazy
Cline's version is considered a country music standard and, in 1996, became the all-time most played song in jukeboxes in the United States. "Crazy" was covered by many artists; different versions reached the charts in a variety of genres.
6. Kenny Rogers- The Gambler
'The Gambler' became Rogers's signature song and most enduring hit. It was one of five consecutive songs by Rogers to hit No. 1 on the Billboard country music charts. On the pop chart, the song made it to No. 16, and No. 3 on the Easy Listening chart.

This tearjerker was based on Paisley's frequent co-writer and best friend, Kelley Lovelace's stepson, who attended the 2000 ACM Awards as Paisley's guest. According to Lovelace, Paisley said to him, "Let's make a song about you two that will make your wife cry."
